How to import apples from Poland: a 2025 buyer's guide

From first contact to delivered pallets — everything an EU retail or wholesale buyer needs to import Polish apples efficiently.

Poland is the largest apple producer in the European Union, accounting for roughly a quarter of all EU apple production. For EU buyers, importing Polish apples means fast lead times, competitive pricing and a deep year-round supply held under ULO controlled atmosphere. This guide walks you through the practical steps.

1. Define your specification

Start with variety, class (typically Class I for retail), caliber range (e.g. 70–80 mm), packaging format and any retail-specific residue or labelling requirements. The clearer your spec, the faster we can quote.

2. Confirm Incoterms and lead time

We offer FCA Warka, DAP and DDP across the EU. Lead times range from overnight (Czechia, Slovakia, eastern Germany) to 3–4 days for Finland or Romania.

3. Certifications and compliance

Our farm and packhouse hold GLOBAL G.A.P. Chain of Custody, IFS, BRC and GRASP certifications — independently audited and recognised by major EU retailers across Sweden, Finland, Czechia, Romania and beyond.

4. Packaging options

Standard formats are 6/7 kg, 8 kg and 13 kg in either cardboard cartons or plastic crates. Retail-ready bags, punnets and private-label cartons are available.

5. Quality control and claims

Every order is inspected pre-loading. Cold chain is monitored end-to-end. Any quality claim is handled within 48 h with photographic evidence and a documented protocol.

6. Place your first order

Request a sample carton, confirm specification, and we'll issue a proforma. Most first orders ship within 5–7 days of confirmed payment terms.
